David Ramsden-Wood

David Ramsden-Wood, aka DRW, started his career with Anadarko before oil was cool, before it wasn’t, and definitely before it was free.  With 20 years in industry, an engineering background and a loud mouth with active fingers on the keyboard, he started the #hottakeoftheday in November 2018. Known for challenging conventional thinking with a data driven, “I don’t know what you want me to say... that’s what the data says” approach, his pull no punches style adds some flavor to an industry not particularly known for flamboyance.  Underneath the “pull no punches exterior”, he does care deeply about people (but don’t tell anyone).

Mission Statement

The goal of the Tri State Oil and Gas Convention (TSOGC) is to showcase the latest technology for regional production, drilling, and related petroleum industry partners. It is the sincere intent of the TSOGC to provide an annual opportunity for our industry to assemble, discuss, and implement more productive and efficient ways to accomplish respective company objectives. Our convention will also provide an educational forum for industry leaders that will enhance the regional energy industry as a whole.
